The Counted: People killed by police in the US this year

Organising a national boycott. Share it with anyone who is down. We are NOT posting it on our social media pages. We want to move in silence while we UNITE! We refuse to sit back and watch any more bloodshed without justice and change. Therefore, as of July 11th, 2016, we are collectively boycotting one major company for 30 days at a time, along with the USA. The store TESCOS, will be the first company impacted by our boycott. We are simply asking anyone who is ACTIVELY interested in making a social, economic and political stance against the unjust  slaughtering of Black lives, to refrain from spending ANY money at TESCOS. The USA will be boycotting TARGET. Please SAVE any money you would've spent at Tesco in your own bank account until August 10th, 2016. We are also asking people to not buy COCA COLA products until the end of the summer....
...And finally,  please visit any black owned business this week and for the months to come. Make an ACTIVE effort to invest in & support these businesses with over 10,000 being in the UK. This will not work unless we all unite & come together the power we have together is phenomenal!
Again, we are not posting this on social media, but sharing it  with interested friends and family via text message or word of mouth (NO email either). The hope is to reach at least 7 people who will in turn reach another  7 people that will do the same, and so on.
Please join this economic movement for justice for African-Americans & Afro-carribeans in this country! Once again, please no  Internet posting... only text and word of mouth.
Stay blessed!!

It's #ActionTime.

Let's hit them where it hurts, economically and show our power.

It's embarrassing on both fronts. That suggestion above that we ought to boycott Tesco, cool lets do that. Why a month? Why Tesco? Wouldn't it be more effective to ask these lot in the spotlight to stop draping themselves in Adidas/Puma/Nike or even Loboutin/Gucci and all of those other makes who don't intend their products for black people but will happily take the free advertisement.

The KFC video is perfect for anyone trying to discredit the BLM movement, PERFECT. This was my issue with a large cross section of those who attended that march, while the solidarity in the black community is admirable, some of the attendance was almost tongue in cheek. Same lot that were screaming black lives matter were at Wireless the very next day snatching chains. Until we sort the mess within, nobody on the outside is going to take us seriously.

you sure about that mate?

Please disprove my theory...

My point is, the differentiation that you make isn't an easy one to make and that is our problem. We can argue the ignorance of tarring the majority with the brush of the minority, but solidarity can't be a one day one march thing. If we are to change, it has to be a change over all. We can't on the one hand argue our lives matter, but glorify the members of our community who will openly preach violence and intolerance of our fellow "brothers". Its hypocrisy, especially when you consider the tools to make this change are within all of our hands.

This is why I don't use the phrase black lives matter, even though I agree with the sentiment.

R.I.P the guy in the video, beautiful family.

Please first prove it, then I may make an attempt.

Or simply don't post like a Daily Mail headline writer?

Without actually showing you the snaps of individuals i know personally who were on Oxford Street for the march, and then in fracas at Finsbury the next day, I wont. Dismissing what im saying as a daily mail headline is the root of the problem, can't ignore the fact that there is strength in numbers, and while we're divided in ourselves we'll never get those numbers.

fair. it just seemed like you were making a wild statement, either for effect, or to suit your own narrative

with regards to your point, well... thats kinda the point isnt it

you cant expect a whole generation to suddenly turn good as gold just because BLM

but we can shatter the notion that because matey and his wife smoked weed in the car with their baby, an officer had the right to shoot

someone said it on here a while back. as soon as one man had the conch, a next man was looking to take it from him

that aint gonna change anytime soon, but mobilising the youth to actually give a fuck has already happened

now its time to channel that energy into a movement with working parts, not play it down because there's still bad people in the world who happen to be black

Here is a list of black owned shops that you can choose to shop in and keep the pounds in our community. Obviously if you know of a shop then add it and send it round to people on your whatsapp groups so this list can grow. If you have any sort of black business then add your details and send the whole thing out to all your group's. If each person adds a new piece of info and sends it round it won't be long before we have a massive list of shops available in all areas of the British isles where people can shop. This is not restricted to just London. Wherever you are add your details and send! Support black businesses.

It's on craven park road near the police station and right next to William hill

the place looks dusty as hell

the saddest thing is I would rather buy my African food from middle eastern mandem near the library/barbershops as they are cheaper and usually throw in an extra plantain

Pmsl

Black folk will barb their hair at an Asian shop if it was a few quid cheaper.

When things are a few pennies more is it really that much of an hassle buying from your own?

I used to buy cosmetics from the lady with the AF shop up my road. A bit more expensive and less choice. However, she was in the come up and she was always courteous. Unfortunately the shop got burnt down recently.

The amount of time I go into the big cash and carry up the road and I hear some Af lady moaning about them being rude and disrespectful. Yet these same women will still be going there to shop over and over agsin.

It's mad
