sitting deep and leaving 3 of ozil/ronaldo/di maria/benzema/huguain up top to counter attack weaker teams then you trying to play the football your club should be playing is not attacking football
in a league where the majority of teams played attacking ball, a counter attacking team with far superior players scored the most goals
This kind of comments just sums chelsea/mourinho fans up really
Weve had years of winning major trophies on the foundation of bringing through young players and playing 'exciting' football. Literally years of it. And the combination of those two things is what we like and what we want more of.
Chelsea/mourinho fans just dont get it and its purely because Chelsea on the other hand had years of nothing. Absolutely fuck all apart from the odd coca cola cup. So when mourinho came in and wins them a couple of leagues, he doesnt need to bring through youngsters or play exciting football. Because why would he? Hes won stuff for chelsea they aint ever won before/for years so youre over the moon with just winning.
Were united. Were wayyyy better than that. Tryna take united for chelsea. We want to win, but we want to win with exciting attacking football. Bar possibly his first 2 seasons at chelsea there is little to no evidence that mourinho will bring that to united. And this is why a lot of fans arent buzzing. Let alone the pathetic shit that comes as part of the mourinho package.
pretty sure if the WWW wasn't in it's infancy in the early 90s, we'd have been able to find similar posts by pool fans back then
United aren't Barca/Real/Bayern
you're not guaranteed success and your club's in a shit city
given time that veneer of superiority that Fergie left on your club's fanbase will disappear and the stark reality of being trophyless for so long will start to set in
and judging by the way your club is being run, these past three years are not an anomaly, this is a new era - postfergie era
that reality has already has already set in for the match going fans that were chanting JOSE MOURINHO and wearing his mask/scarf like groupies at a concert
aint won the league in 3 years
aint won the champions league in 8
just need two more years for them numbers to start becoming truly significant since 5 and 10 has a much better ring to it
United fans should be grateful to have a manager that guarantees success, at least initially
yeah get tired of him and his antics after a season or two once your bellies are full, but right now? lolsmh your lot aint in the position to turn down a meal when you've been starving for so long
Cold facts. No success for a long period will force boards into tough decisions and this is one.
Although I think his tenure / pressures will be a lot different at United than say Madrid / Chelsea.
No impatient galatico obsessed president No interfering club owner
the fact we don't have a director of football unlike everywhere else he has been MAY be a positive ( emenalo )
these reasons alone point to a better management experience for him.
Im not saying it won't turn out a shambles but there are less reasons for it to blow up like before.
Uniteds philopshy is success. Louie got that mixed up & Jose will do what needs to be done to win whether that is being defensive towards the end of a season or selling a fan favourite. Fergie did the same.

First 6 lines reads like a prayer to the almighty.
In context, we ARE Barca/Real/Bayern, we're the biggest, most successful club in one of the biggest footballing nations.
Why should we not aim to have our cake and eat it. We most certainly should be grateful for a Mourinho but not at the expense of the essence of the club.
So in response to us talking about protecting our youth philosophy, you choose to remind us that our wealth and reach doesn’t matter in assembling success. Promptly after we use that wealth and reach to force arguably the best manager in the world take a year off for us.
We managed to keep the best goalkeeper in the world last summer
We signed one of the best players in the world the summer before (Di Maria)
We are making record profits, record deal with Adidas.
Dusty or not we signed Depay over PSG last summer.
We have the best history in the Premier League. The area isn't the best to attract players but the allure of the club, the money and the fans are. The fact we got one of the top 3 managers in the world begging to be our manager proves that.
We are Barcelona, Real and Bayern. Before Van Gaal took over at Bayern there team was Dusty and their name wasn't even convos about top players. Barcelona before Rijkaard were in the same boat too. It goes in cycles.
Players don't dream of playing for Chelsea following legends like Terry butcher. They dream of playing in London for a high wage and the chance to compete for trophies.
Guys want to follow Best, Eric, Ronaldo etc. I know it must be hard for Chelsea fans to comprehend that.
Yes we didn't play the best football in Fergie last few years before the purses were tightened.
Fergie with 250mill plus Rashford, TFM and co would be competing for CL again, winning titles and playing good football.
Again there isn't a black clear line between playing good football, bloodinf youth and winning trophies. It's something historically we have always done. Hence why fans gave Van Gaal more time because of Lingard, Rashford and co
nah I'm done, only part of that post which resonates is players wanting to follow in Cristiano Ronaldo's footsteps in using United as a steppingstone and talk of profits
you lot grew up in the summer and fully can't see that winter is here

Attacking football is playing on the front foot

prem is not what it used to be cause everyone got money
United can't just hoover up every other team's best player anymore
10-15 years ago Kane + Ali would have been on their way to United by now, same with Mahrez and whoever else dared to shine
which is why I say you lot aint Barca/Real/Bayern
times have changed, but only you lot cannot see it
United are just a mega rich club in a mega rich league
