of course people use the EUR to GBP exchange

at what point do you care what your pounds exchange into Euros?

your bank account and mindset is in Pounds and you're spending in Euros, its easier to have a whole value of your Euro expenditure to convert back into

I spend €20 in France, is it easier in my head to multiply that by 0.9 or divide that by 1.11 to figure out that I've spent £18?

I always want to know how much currency my pounds will buy. Obviously when I'm in a country I might convert back to pounds to work out what I'm spending.

what you mean "no idea why you're being different"? I've explained the most simple straight-forward logic as to why I convert to pounds instead of the other way around

at least Greens has actually given why he uses GBP to EUR - but even he's said when he's being practical he'll use EUR to GBP
